I made some new friends today. Most of them seem to be in New York, so I guess I'll have to keep in touch this way until I can manage to leave New Orleans.  Maybe Monica would like to come with me.  I can't see myself staying in New Orleans forever, it's not my home....but I also can't see Monica leaving New Orleans for the same reason.  She was born and raised here, and it might be hard for her to let go. 

But maybe a short vacation? I'm not sure yet....
